Aimpoint CompM5

The Aimpoint CompM5 is the standard-tube successor to the long-running CompM4 series and the optic the US Army selected to replace the M68 Close Combat Optic. It runs the same proven Aimpoint internals as the Micro T-2 but in a 30mm tube package compatible with the broad ecosystem of legacy CompM4 mounts and rings. The single AAA battery delivers the same 50,000 hour service life as the Micro T-2's CR2032.

The CompM5 fills a specific gap: shooters who want Aimpoint reliability and a 30mm tube footprint, but find AAA batteries easier to keep on hand than CR2032 cells. The 2 MOA dot, 10 brightness settings (6 daylight plus 4 night vision), and submersible-to-150-feet construction match the rest of the modern Aimpoint duty line. The optic ships without a mount; budget for an LRP-7 or American Defense AD-Recon-S to put it on a rifle.
