Overview

The Ruger-built Marlin 1895 Dark is the factory version of the modern lever gun people were building with aftermarket handguards and rails. It starts with the 1895 .45-70 action, then adds a 16.17-inch threaded barrel, radial brake, black polymer stock with cheek riser, aluminum M-LOK forend, QD sling points, ghost-ring sights, and an extended Picatinny optics rail.

This is the lever gun for shooters who want .45-70 authority without giving up modern setup choices. The short barrel keeps it quick in thick cover, the rail supports red dots or low-power optics, and the handguard can carry a light, sling hardware, or a hand stop without replacing factory furniture.
