PSA Sabre AK-47 GF5

The PSA Sabre AK-47 GF5 is Palmetto State Armory's premium tier of the PSAK-47 line, built from a Romanian parts kit around a forged front trunnion and a hammer-forged bolt and carrier finished in DLC coating rather than the phosphate finish common on entry AKs. The GF5 designation carries over PSA's own top barrel spec: an FN cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel, the same barrel source used on the standard PSAK-47 GF5.

Sabre-specific upgrades stack on top of that GF5 base: an ALG AKT Enhanced trigger with a DLC-coated lightning bow, an extended enhanced safety lever, B5 Systems furniture (P-Grip pistol grip and a 4.5mm folding stock in RAL 8000), a Soviet Arms 11.5-inch rail with a railed gas tube, a Sabre "Plan B" muzzle device, a side scope mount, and a Romanian 1,000-yard rear sight leaf. It ships with one Romanian 30-round steel magazine and runs standard AK-pattern magazines.

This is a new product line, launched September 2025, so independent long-count reliability testing is still thin compared to PSA's longer-running GF3/GF4/GF5 base rifles. As of this writing it was listed only on PSA's own site, so verify current retailer availability before buying.
