Overview

The Ruger American Rifle Gen II Standard in .30-06 is model 46913, a 6.4-pound hunting bolt with a 20-inch spiral-fluted barrel and a four-round flush-fit magazine. Ruger applies Gun Metal Gray Cerakote to the alloy-steel barreled action, then installs a gray splatter-finished stock with a removable comb and length-of-pull spacer. Removing the spacer shortens length of pull from 13.75 inches to 12 inches.

The cold-hammer-forged barrel is threaded 5/8x24 and ships with a radial brake. A one-piece Picatinny scope base is also installed. The three-lug stainless bolt uses a 70-degree throw, while the Marksman Adjustable trigger runs from 3 to 5 pounds. Power Bedding blocks locate the receiver and free-float the barrel.
