Sig Sauer 1911 X Full .45 ACP 5" 8rds Pistol, Coyote Tan - 1911XR-45-CXR3
The SIG Sauer 1911 X-Full Emperor Scorpion answers the one criticism every traditional single-stack 1911 shares: no factory optic. SIG cuts the slide for a Shield RMSc footprint at the factory and pairs it with XRAY3 day/night sights, so the pistol ships ready for a red dot or runs co-witnessed iron sights out of the box. This is the duty-modern interpretation of the Government-size .45 ACP 1911, not a safe-queen presentation gun.
The X-Full is built on a railed stainless steel frame finished in Coyote-Tan PVD, with a 5-inch barrel, 8+1 capacity, and a weight of 41.9 ounces. The full-length dust cover carries an accessory rail for a weapon light, an upgrade older 1911 designs require a gunsmith to add. SIG fits an extended ambidextrous thumb safety, an undercut trigger guard, a flat-faced trigger, front and rear slide serrations, a removable metal magwell, and custom LOK G10 grip panels. The Emperor Scorpion designation marks SIG's Coyote PVD treatment across the slide, frame, and small parts for a uniform, corrosion-resistant finish.
The practical case is straightforward. A shooter who wants the 1911 single-action trigger and the classic single-stack grip, but also wants a slide-mounted red dot and a light rail without sending the gun to a machinist, has historically had few factory options. The X-Full delivers all of it at a street price near $1,400. The Shield RMSc cut accepts the SIG ROMEO-X Compact, the Holosun 407K/507K, the Shield RMSc, and any optic sharing that footprint; a ROMEO-X Compact bundle (1911XR-45-CXR3-RXX) ships with the optic factory-installed for shooters who want a turnkey package. The trade-off versus a double-stack 2011 is capacity: 8+1 in the X-Full against 17-plus in a wide-body, in exchange for a slimmer grip and lower weight.
