Taurus Judge (2026)

The Taurus Judge created the .45 Colt/.410 revolver category in 2006, and the 2026 refresh updates the entire core lineup for the platform's twentieth anniversary. Four SKUs ship at launch: a 3-inch barrel in matte black (2-JUDGE31) or stainless/black duo tone (2-JUDGE35), and a 6.5-inch barrel in matte black (2-JUDGE61) or duo tone (2-JUDGE65). All four feed from a 5-round cylinder chambered for .45 Colt and .410 shotshells up to 2.5 inches. The 3-inch gun runs 38.2 oz unloaded with a 9.15-inch overall length; the 6.5-inch version weighs 44.5 oz and measures 12.65 inches.

The headline change is the sighting system. The old blacked-out front blade gives way to a fiber optic front post that picks up faster in low light and aligns more cleanly with the topstrap rear notch under recoil. Taurus also reworked the geometry: a redesigned barrel shroud, fully skeletonized on the 6.5-inch models with a deep relief cut to trim muzzle-end weight, plus JUDGE engraved into the muzzle end of the shroud. A new black rubber grip with finger-groove geometry, recoil-absorbing palm swells, and a Taurus bull medallion is common across all four SKUs.

The Judge remains a defensive and outdoor tool rather than a precision handgun. The .410 bore and rifled barrel spread shot patterns quickly, so it rewards close-range work; .45 Colt loads give it a single-projectile option for trail and home defense. At $699.99 for matte black and $719.99 for duo tone MSRP, the refreshed Judge sits in line with current standard-Judge street pricing while adding the fiber optic sight and updated furniture as standard.
