Taurus TX22 Compact

The Taurus TX22 Compact is the concealment variant of the standard TX22, built on a shorter grip frame with a 3.6 inch threaded barrel. Capacity drops to 13+1 in the flush magazine or 16+1 in the extended Compact magazine, but the smaller footprint and 16.5 oz unloaded weight make it the only credible concealed-carry .22 LR pistol Taurus offers. The Compact magazines are dedicated to this frame and do not interchange with the full-size TX22 16-round and 22-round mags.

The factory slide ships with the same RMSc-cut optic plate as the standard TX22, so the Holosun 507K X2, 407K X2, Olight Osight SE, and SIG Romeo Zero all drop on without milling. The threaded muzzle ships with a 1/2x28 thread adapter collar for suppressor mounting, matching the full-size TX22's setup. The polymer frame, striker-fired trigger, and ambidextrous mag release carry over from the standard TX22 unchanged.

For shooters who already own a full-size TX22, the Compact is a complementary buy rather than a replacement: the mag stockpile does not transfer, and the shorter sight radius gives up some practical accuracy. As a dedicated EDC trainer or a small-frame plinker, the Compact slots cleanly into the TX22 family at $349 MSRP.
