Overview

The Taurus GX4 Carry .380 Auto is the .380 chambering of the GX4 Carry frame, announced August 2026 and available through Taurus dealers beginning August 13, 2026. It carries the same 15-round magazine, 3.70-inch barrel, and 6.56-inch overall length as the 9mm GX4 Carry, so the capacity that makes the Carry interesting does not drop when the caliber does. Fifteen rounds of .380 matches the Ruger Security-380 at the top of the class and roughly doubles the pocket .380s: the Ruger LCP Max tops out at 10+1 and the S&W Bodyguard 2.0 at 12+1 with its extended magazine.

The feature set is unusual at this price. The slide ships with the T.O.R.O. cut for Holosun K-series footprint optics, which means a Holosun 507K X2 or 407K X2 bolts on without an adapter plate. The frame carries a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail, which the standard GX4 and GX4XL do not have, so a rail-mounted light is an option instead of a clamp-on. Three interchangeable backstraps, a reversible magazine release, a flat-face serrated trigger, and a fully adjustable rear sight round out the package.

The frame is stainless steel with a matte stainless finish, the slide is alloy steel with a gas nitride treatment, and the barrel is stainless with a satin black DLC coating. The action is single-action-only striker with a striker block, trigger safety, and visual loaded chamber indicator. The case ships with two 15-round .380 magazines.
