Overview

The Taurus TX22 Competition ships ready for Steel Challenge and rimfire competition without aftermarket work. The barrel-mounted optic system keeps the red dot off the reciprocating slide, which helps rimfire reliability and preserves a steadier optic view during fast strings. Optic mounting plates for both RMR/507C and Shield RMSc footprints are included in the box.

The 5.25-inch threaded bull barrel provides a longer sight radius than the standard TX22 and is set up for a suppressor or muzzle device with the correct adapter. 16+1 capacity from the same reliable magazine design as the standard TX22 means fewer reloads during competition stages.

The striker trigger at approximately 4 lbs is the TX22 Competition's main limitation for serious competition use. It is adequate for recreational matches but lacks the crispness and short reset of dedicated competition triggers. The Competition carries a higher MSRP than the standard TX22, but live street prices often land lower than the catalog baseline.
