Taurus TX22 With Brace (TB)

The Taurus TX22 With Brace (TB) is a TX22 built around a new frame with a rear M1913 Picatinny rail molded in, shipped with a Strike Industries FSA Lite folding brace already installed. Folded, the pistol is 10 inches long; with the brace extended it measures 19.5 inches. Unloaded weight is 24.9 oz, and the gun keeps the TX22's 4.6-inch alloy steel barrel, polymer frame, and hard-anodized aluminum slide.

The brace and rail change how the TX22 is run more than what it is. A third contact point steadies the sights for plinking and steel, and an ambidextrous AR-style charging handle sits at the rear of the slide. The T.O.R.O. slide is cut for RMSc-pattern optics, the barrel is threaded 1/2x28 for rimfire cans such as the Taurus TTX22, and the box holds the same 22-round and 16-round TX22 magazines the standard pistol uses.

Taurus also sells a Brace Ready TB version of the same gun at 17.30 oz with no brace installed, for owners who want to fit their own 1913 brace or keep the 10-inch package. Both come in state-compliant 10-round versions, some with a non-threaded barrel. The frame is new, so confirm fitment with the maker before buying an aftermarket TX22 trigger or chassis kit for it.
