The Walther PDP Match Steel Frame fuses the newer PDP ergonomics with a billet-steel frame for USPSA Carry Optics shooters who want a striker-fired platform with 2011-grade weight. The Performance Duty Trigger is the centerpiece: flat-face geometry, a clean break around 4.5 pounds, and a tactile reset shorter than any other PDP variant. The 5-inch barrel and 8.37-inch overall length match the Q5 Match SF Pro footprint.
The platform ships optic-ready with multi-footprint plates covering RMR, 507C, DeltaPoint Pro, and ACRO. Performance Duty grip texture is aggressive enough for sweaty match days but doesn't shred forearms during long range sessions. Slide cocking serrations are deeper than the Q5 Match. Magazines are PDP-pattern (different from Q5 Match), 18-round flush-fit standard with 20-round extensions available.
The steel-frame upgrade puts the PDP into the same recoil management bracket as the Q5 Match SF Pro and Shadow 2 OR. The trade-off is price: at $1,899 MSRP it sits between the Q5 Match SF Pro polymer and the dedicated-competition Shadow 2 OR. Walther positions the PDP Match SF as the duty-platform answer to the Q5 Match; both are Carry Optics legal.
