MDT
Carbon fiber and magnesium hunting chassis starting at 26 oz, with V-block bedding, AICS feeding, and adjustable comb and length of pull.
The HNT26 is MDT's answer to the weight problem every chassis has. The base is magnesium alloy instead of aluminum, the forend is enclosed carbon fiber, and the buttstock is a foam-filled carbon fiber shell, which is how MDT gets a full chassis system starting at 26 oz. It still does the things a chassis is bought for: V-block bedding under the receiver, AICS-pattern magazine feeding through a low-profile latch built into the trigger guard, and adjustable comb height and length of pull. Configuration decides the rest. The standard forend keeps the weight down, an ARCA forend option puts the dovetail directly into the carbon fiber, and a folding buttstock version shortens the rifle for pack carry. MDT cuts the HNT26 for the Remington 700 short action, Remington 700 long action CIP 3.850, Remington 700 based medium actions, Savage short and long, Tikka T3/T3x short and long, and the Howa 1500 and Weatherby Vanguard short action.
