Overview

The ORYX is machined from a single block of 6061 aluminum and cradles the receiver on an integral bedding block, so the barrel free-floats without pillar or glass work. Installation is two action screws. The trade is adjustment depth: length of pull runs 13 to 13.5 inches out of the box and extends with MDT's spacer kit, the forend carries M-LOK slots rather than a full-length ARCA dovetail, and the barrel channel clears contours up to 1.25 inches. MDT cuts the same shell for a long list of actions, including the Remington 700 short and long action, Remington 783, Ruger American, Savage short, long, Axis and MKII, Tikka T3/T3x and T1x, CZ 455 and 457, Howa 1500 and Howa Mini, Weatherby Vanguard, Mossberg Patriot and MVP, and the Thompson Center Compass.
