Magpul X-22 Backpacker Stock

The Magpul X-22 Backpacker is the upgrade that finally makes the 10/22 Takedown live up to its marketing. The factory Takedown ships with a stock that does nothing with the takedown feature except let you separate the rifle into two awkward pieces; the Backpacker stock has a hollow buttstock that the barrel/forend assembly latches into, so the disassembled rifle becomes one compact package shorter than the assembled gun. Inside the stock body Magpul molded slots that retain three 10-round 10/22 BX-1 or factory rotary magazines, and a separate hinged compartment in the pistol grip stores small items (oil bottle, suppressor key, basic kit). The MOE SL non-slip rubber butt pad gives a stable shoulder mount, and Magpul offers optional QD sling cups as an aftermarket accessory. The stock fits the 10/22 Takedown only; the standard 10/22 owner needs the Hunter X-22 instead. For backpack hunters, hikers, pack rafters, and bug-out kit builders, this is the highest-utility 10/22 upgrade on the market.
