TANDEMKROSS Manticore X Lower (Ruger 10/22)

The Manticore X Lower answers a question every 10/22 chassis build eventually runs into: why is the trigger housing a separate part bolted into the chassis at all. TANDEMKROSS machined the two into one aerospace-grade aluminum unit at 12.7 oz, which cuts weight, removes an interface, and makes takedown a single-step operation.

The front end of the value is the fire control, which is the full Manticore package pre-installed: Ultimate Trigger Kit adjustable from roughly 2.25 lb to over 5 lb for both pull weight and over-travel, Cornerstone ambidextrous short-throw rotary safety, Bolt Keeper extended bolt lock with auto bolt release, and the Fireswitch bi-directional magazine release. The enlarged trigger guard carries index points for a repeatable ready position and clears gloved hands.

The back end is where the modularity lives. The housing takes AR pistol grips with or without a beavertail and mounts buttstocks, braces, and sling hardware on a rear Picatinny interface that configures inline or at a 12 degree downward pitch to change cheek weld and optic height. An integral QD sling socket swaps to either side. TANDEMKROSS uses its self-capturing ball-detent Upgraded Receiver KrossPins as the universal takedown mechanism, so a fixed-barrel or takedown rifle breaks down and reassembles with the barrel, receiver, and optic still fixed to each other and no point of impact shift. The barrel free-floats from the chassis. Dedicated holes in the lower store the KrossPins and a Shock Block bolt buffer when the rifle is apart.

Fitment limits are specific. The lower works with both takedown and non-takedown receivers and with factory 10/22 Takedown forends, but TANDEMKROSS's own M-LOK Forend for Manticore X does not fit Takedown receivers. It does not work with the Tactical Solutions X-Ring receiver or with left-handed factory Ruger 10/22 receivers, and TANDEMKROSS recommends at least 8 inches of rifling for reliable reset. The part is not serialized.
