Overview
The SureFire SOCOM556-RC4 is the current-production SOCOM 5.56 suppressor that succeeds the RC2 in SureFire's lineup. Built from high-temp Inconel superalloy with a Cerakote finish, it keeps the package to 6.3 inches and 17 ounces while running SureFire's tool-less Fast-Attach mount.
The RC4 lowers back pressure and gas blowback over the RC2, the chief complaint on hard-use suppressed carbines, and SureFire publishes roughly 139 dB at the shooter's ear on a 10.3-inch barrel with M855. It mounts over any SureFire SOCOM muzzle device, including the SF3P three-prong and SF4P four-prong flash hiders that ship on URG-I uppers.
The RC4 is full-auto rated and optimized for 10.3-inch and longer 5.56 barrels, which covers the 14.5-inch URGI and the 10.3-inch CQB sibling.
