Overview
The Springfield Hellion 18-inch rifle stretches the VHS-2 bullpup formula for shooters who want more velocity and sighting radius without moving into conventional rifle overall length. It keeps the same STANAG magazine compatibility, reversible ejection, M-LOK handguard, integrated flip-up sights, and 5-position stock as the 16-inch model.
For accessories, the 18-inch Hellion uses the same core upgrade path as the 16-inch gun: bolt release, trigger-pack work, buttpad or stock geometry, sling, optic, light, and STANAG magazines. The longer barrel makes LPVO and general-purpose setups more natural, while the bullpup layout still keeps overall length shorter than many conventional 16-inch rifles.
