Overview
The BabyUpLULA fills the gap the standard UpLULA leaves open: narrow single-stack magazines in .22 LR and .380 ACP. These mags use thinner feed lips than 9mm-and-larger pistol mags, and forcing them into a UpLULA either won't seat or chews up the lips. The BabyUpLULA's narrower channel is sized for that geometry.
Typical hosts include the Ruger LCP family, Walther PPK and PPK/S, Bersa Thunder 380, Beretta 21A Bobcat, and various .22 LR target pistol single-stack mags. The mechanism is identical to the full-size UpLULA: grip the round, depress the follower lever, release. Stiff .380 mag springs become a non-issue, which is the main reason BabyUpLULA exists. Loading a full 6-round LCP mag without it is a thumb workout; with it, it's two seconds per round.
It does not handle .22 WMR (.22 Magnum) double-stack mags such as the Kel-Tec PMR-30; that platform uses the dedicated LU34B. It also doesn't help with rimfire rifle box mags.
