The M2.0 Compact is sold both ways and the two look identical from the side. Only the optics-ready SKU has the C.O.R.E. pocket; a standard Compact slide is solid behind the rear sight, so a dot there means a milling service or one of Smith & Wesson's drop-in optic-ready slides. Going the other direction is easy: the C.O.R.E. pocket does not change across the optics-ready M2.0 line, so a plate bought for a 4-inch Compact bolts into a 5-inch M2.0 the same way.

Yes.
