M&P Shield Plus optic footprint: what red dots fit
The optics-ready M&P Shield Plus is cut for the Shield RMSc footprint, and that single pattern is what bolts to the slide. RMSc-footprint optics drop straight on with no adapter plate: the Shield RMSc itself, the SIG Romeo Zero Elite and ROMEO-X Compact Enclosed, the Vortex Defender-CCW, the Swampfox Sentinel II, the Gideon Judge II and Valor Mini, and the C&H Precision EDC, EDC Enclosed and Max. Nothing built on the larger Trijicon RMR or Holosun 507C pattern shares that locating geometry, so those optics are not an option on this slide.
Shield Plus is sold with and without the optic cut, and the two are hard to separate in a display case. The optics-ready SKU has the pocket and mounting screws behind the rear sight; the plain one is solid slide steel, and no adapter plate adds a cut. The cheaper repair is Smith & Wesson's own 3.1-inch optic-ready slide, sold as a drop-in for Shield 1.0, Shield 2.0 and Shield Plus frames, which turns a pistol you already own into an optics-ready one without buying a second gun.

Yes. The SIG Romeo Zero Elite uses the Shield RMSc footprint that the M&P Shield Plus slide is cut for, so it bolts straight to the slide with no adapter plate.
Do Holosun K optics need anything extra on a Shield RMSc cut?
They do, and Holosun packs it in the box. A Shield RMSc cut carries four locating lugs and an RMSc optic has four matching pockets, while a Holosun K body has only two, which leaves two slide lugs with nowhere to seat. The two real fixes are the adapter Holosun ships with its K-series optics, or filing the two extra lugs off the slide. Filing the optic is not one of them, and there is no screws-only shortcut.
Does a Trijicon RMRcc fit the M&P Shield Plus?
No. The RMRcc uses a Trijicon-specific footprint with its own screw and boss spacing, not the Shield RMSc pattern the Shield Plus slide is cut for. The two get confused because both are micro-compact optics of roughly the same size. Putting an RMRcc on this pistol takes a slide milled for the RMRcc cut, not an adapter.
