Overview
The KDG FN SCAR Safety Selector replaces the factory shaft and both levers instead of changing lever shape alone. One long lever and one short lever let the shooter bias leverage toward the firing-hand side while retaining ambidextrous control, and rotating the selector shaft during installation sets either a short 45-degree throw or the factory-style 90-degree throw.
The screwless assembly is machined from 7075 aluminum and weighs one ounce. It fits the FN SCAR 15P, 16, 17, and 20S, including reciprocating- and non-reciprocating-charging-handle models. Installation reuses the OEM SCAR selector detent and spring; the AR-15-style detent and spring included with some kits are not used in the SCAR lower.
