Manticore Arms AUG Switchback Charging Handle Mini

The factory Steyr AUG charging handle is a small folding lever that flips out for charging and back for storage, but the gripping area is small and the lever can be hard to manipulate under gloves, in cold weather, or when clearing a malfunction in a hurry. The Manticore Arms Switchback Charging Handle Mini solves the problem with an auto-folding design that gives the shooter a large gripping area when needed and a flush low-snag profile the rest of the time.

The handle folds out from the receiver, pulls back to charge the rifle, then automatically folds back into the stowed position on release. The gripping surface is significantly larger than the factory handle, with a textured finger catch that engages cleanly under gloves. Stowed, the handle sits flush against the receiver with no protrusion to snag on slings, gear, or vehicle interiors.

Drop-in fitment for the AUG A2, AUG A3, and AUG A3 M1. NOT compatible with the AUG A3 M2, which uses a different charging handle pattern with a forward-assist feature; Manticore makes a separate A3 M2 Switchback Charging Handle for that variant. ARID USA and Corvus Defensio also make AUG charging handle upgrades, but the Manticore Switchback is the most refined design and the most widely available through US dealers.
