Overview
The factory 10/22 bolt release is a famous ergonomic mistake. To drop the bolt, the shooter has to push up on the bolt-lock latch with one hand while pulling the charging handle back with the other; nobody who has ever timed a stage on a 10/22 has not cursed it. The Volquartsen Automatic Bolt Release replaces the factory part and lets the shooter simply pull the charging handle back slightly to release the bolt, exactly the way every centerfire rifle and every other rimfire works. Install is drop-in, takes about three minutes, and the part is $14. Available in black and silver. This is on every veteran 10/22 owner's mandatory upgrade list.
