AT3 Tactical
1.74-inch bore from a category SERP leader; AT3 advises a 1.5-inch can so surrounding M-LOK stays usable.
The AT3 Tactical SPEAR XL is the suppressor-ready version of AT3's popular SPEAR rail, bored to a 1.74-inch inside diameter that ties the STNGR HWK XL for the widest bore in this guide. AT3 ranks among the top results for "suppressor ready handguard," and the SPEAR XL is why: a wide-bore, suppressor-tucking rail in the mid-tier price band from a brand with broad retail availability.
There is a practical nuance AT3 calls out directly: although the 1.74-inch bore will physically accommodate most AR-15 cans, AT3 recommends running a suppressor around 1.5 inches in outside diameter so the M-LOK slots surrounding the tucked can remain usable for accessories. With a larger can filling the bore, you keep the suppressor benefits but lose the ability to mount lights or hand stops in the slots directly over it. That is the real-world clearance-versus-utility tradeoff every tucked-can build navigates, and AT3 is unusually transparent about it.
Construction is 6061 aircraft aluminum with a steel barrel nut and two-piece aluminum clamp, M-LOK at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, and a lightened Picatinny rail at 12 o'clock. The SPEAR XL comes in 12 and 15-inch lengths and an unusually broad color range including black, FDE, burnt bronze, OD green, tungsten, and titanium. It pairs naturally with a 300 Blackout or 5.56 SBR running a tucked can where the wide bore and color matching both matter.
