The Midwest Industries SP Series is the suppressor-compatible version of MI's free-float rail line, bored out to a 1.670-inch inside diameter so a rifle can threads onto the barrel and recedes inside the handguard rather than hanging off the muzzle. That is the entire point of a suppressor-ready rail: instead of bolting a 7-inch can to the end of a 16-inch barrel and ending up with a 22-inch rifle, you run a longer handguard over a shorter barrel and tuck the suppressor underneath, keeping overall length closer to a standard carbine while gaining the sound and recoil benefits of the can.

Construction is 6061 aluminum with hard-coat anodizing and a continuous MIL-STD 1913 top rail, with M-LOK slots on seven sides for lights, hand stops, and QD sockets around the tucked can. The 1.670-inch bore clears the vast majority of 5.56 and 300 Blackout rifle suppressors, which typically run 1.5 to 1.62 inches in outside diameter; verify your specific can's OD against that figure before committing, since the largest 5.56 cans push past 1.6 inches and need an air gap for cooling.
