Ruger SR-556 AR-15 Stripped Lower Receiver

The Ruger SR-556 stripped lower is a forged 7075-T6 aluminum AR-15 receiver sold bare, ready for the lower parts kit, trigger, grip, and buffer system of your choice. It sits in the same budget bracket as the PSA Stealth lower while carrying a Ruger forging.

The receiver follows standard mil-spec geometry. The fire control pocket takes .154" trigger pins, so it accepts any standard AR-15 trigger, and it is compatible with standard mil-spec lower parts kits, buffer tubes, and upper receivers. The black-finished lower is made in the USA.

This is a plain mil-spec lower, not an enhanced one. If you want a flared magwell, an integrated trigger guard, or an upper tension screw, the Aero Precision M4E1 is the usual step up; for ambidextrous controls, look at a dedicated ambi lower. For a budget 5.56 build or a second serialized receiver to pair with an existing upper, the Ruger SR-556 lower covers the essentials for very little money.
