Overview
The PSA 8.5-inch .338 ARC pistol is the complete-firearm version of PSA's standard-lower host. It combines a short 4150V nitride barrel, pistol-length gas system, and 7-inch M-LOK handguard with a standard AR-pattern lower. PSA documents a nitrided 6.5 Grendel-family BCG in this exact configuration; a standard 5.56 bolt is not a substitute.
PSA also supplies a 10-round .400 Legend magazine with this host. Use it with this standard-lower configuration. PSA's Sabre IC .338 ARC receiver uses the ICAR magwell and Magpul PMAG 25 ICAR instead. The 1:8 twist matches the optional twist on the current SAAMI drawing.
This is built as a short suppressor host. The 5/8x24 muzzle thread accepts compatible mounts, but the suppressor must have enough bore and an explicit .338 ARC rating. A typical .30-caliber can is too small for the .338-inch projectile.
