Dawson Precision
Tool-less aluminum competition basepad that adds 5 rounds to a factory G17 magazine and slides off in a second for cleaning, sized to pass the USPSA 141.25mm gauge.
The Dawson Precision tool-less basepad is the competition basepad that comes apart without a punch. Where the TTI Firepower and Henning +6 require popping a retention pin to strip the magazine, Dawson's basepad uses a slide-off locking plate: slide the plate off, pull the extension, dump the spring and follower, and reassemble in seconds. For a competitor cleaning a dozen high-round-count magazines after a match, that time adds up.
Machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, it adds 5 rounds to a factory 17-round Glock 9mm magazine for a 22-round tube, and it also fits .40 S&W magazines. Dawson markets it as a 140mm basepad, common product shorthand; the loaded magazine passes the USPSA 141.25mm gauge, keeping it legal for Carry Optics, Limited Optics, and Open while maximizing capacity. Dawson basepads are among the most common on the line at USPSA matches, which makes spare parts and springs easy to source.
It replaces the OEM floorplate on factory full-size Glock 9mm and .40 magazine tubes (the G17, G22, G34, and G35 family). It is a full-size competition part, not a carry or subcompact extension, so it does not fit slimline G43/G43X/G48 or subcompact flush magazines.
