MagGuts
Internal spring and follower conversion that adds two rounds to a Glock 19 or 26 factory magazine without adding external length.
The MagGuts +2 is the only G26 capacity upgrade that does not add external length. Where Pearce and Taran Tactical extensions bolt a longer baseplate onto the magazine, MagGuts replaces the internal spring and follower with a flat-wound spring system that compresses more tightly than the factory coil. The result is two additional rounds (10 to 12 in the flush G26 mag, or 15 to 17 in a G19 mag) without the mag growing a millimeter.
The conversion is specific to factory Glock 9mm 10-round and 15-round magazines. Steel-lined polymer or Magpul PMAG bodies do not accept the kit. Install requires breaking down the mag, swapping the spring and follower, and reassembling, total time is about five minutes per magazine with a flat-tip punch. MagGuts provides the spring, follower, and a basepad retention pin; the factory tube, feed lips, and baseplate stay in place.
The tradeoff is spring tension. A flat-wound spring at 12+1 capacity sits noticeably stiffer than the factory coil at 10+1, so loading the last two rounds requires a mag loader or practice. Feed reliability is good after a short break-in, but this is a conversion that benefits from 200+ rounds of live-fire testing before trusting it for defensive carry.
