Wilson Combat ETM 1911 .45 ACP 8rd Magazine

The Wilson Combat Elite Tactical Magazine (ETM) is the upgraded full-size 1911 magazine that fixes the two known weak points on older 47D-pattern designs: a reinforced polymer base pad that survives drops on concrete, and heat-treated internals (follower spring, lock plate) rated for ten years of duty-cycle use without spring fatigue. Capacity stays at 8 rounds in .45 ACP, but the feed lip geometry is held to tighter tolerances than the 47D for more consistent nose-up presentation.

The ETM is the magazine Wilson Combat ships in their factory pistols and the one most 1911 gunsmiths recommend over the older 47D when budget allows. The slightly thicker base pad seats the magazine slightly proud of the magwell, which is an advantage for fast reloads in a flared magwell and a non-issue for most carry use. Fits full-size 1911s in both Government (5-inch) and Commander (4.25-inch) configurations, which share the same grip frame; Officer/CCO frames have a shorter grip and require Officer-length 7-round magazines.
