Overview

The AK Alpha Series Optic Mount in its Railed Dot Mount version carries a short Picatinny section for a Picatinny-mounted red dot or prism. It bolts to the MI AK Alpha handguard at four points, with two aluminum and two laser-cut 4140 steel stability struts, so the optic rides forward on the handguard rather than on the dust cover, and the factory top cover and rear sight stay in place in a lower 1/3 co-witness.

Midwest lists it for use only with the MI-AK-ALPHA6 and MI-AK-ALPHA10.0 handguards. Optics with an Aimpoint T2 footprint can skip the Picatinny adapter with the separate MI-AK-ALPHA-T2M version.
