Skinner Sights
13-inch full-length scout rail machined from solid aluminum with a built-in Skinner Minimalist peep, so you keep a precise aperture even with a scout scope mounted forward.
Skinner Sights machines this 13-inch scout rail from a solid block of aluminum, then black-anodizes it, and the difference in feel against a folded-sheet rail is immediate. It is a full-length Picatinny rail that lets you run a forward-mounted scout scope, a red dot, or a low-power variable over the new Ruger-built Marlin 1895, with enough rail real estate to dial in eye relief for any of them.
What separates the Skinner rail from a plain base is the integral peep. A Skinner Minimalist steel aperture sits at the rear of the rail and ships with one .096 inch aperture installed, with five aperture sizes available so you can tune the ring for hunting light or bright-day precision. That means you keep a genuine aperture sight on the same hardware that carries your optic, the answer for a hunter who wants glass for the shot and irons as a no-batteries backup.
Fitment is specific: this rail is cut for the new 1895 Marlins built by Ruger and the Rossi M95 in .45-70. Skinner does not guarantee fit on pre-Ruger JM-stamped guns because the older dovetail spacing varies. For a current SBL, Dark, or Trapper, it drops on cleanly.
