The MD-25 Gen 2 gives the ACSS CQB reticle a 25mm clear aperture, five millimeters wider than the 20mm opening on the MD-21 models. Its rotary knob selects 11 brightness settings, including two for night vision, while AutoLive wakes the illumination when the rifle moves. At 6.5 oz and 3.0 inches long, it trades some compactness for the larger viewing window.
The fixed reticle combines an open-top horseshoe for fast pickup, a center chevron for a precise zero, and three stacked BDC dots. The horseshoe approximates the 25-yard pattern of 12 gauge 00 buckshot from an 18.5 to 20 inch barrel. The chevron spans can also range an 18-inch target at 300 and 400 yards, and the dot stack supplies calibrated references for several rifle, shotgun, rimfire, and carbine loads.
Adjustments move 0.5 MOA per click, with more than 50 MOA of total windage and elevation travel. That is less published travel than the 100 MOA available on each MD-21, but the mounting kit is more flexible: the low mount, riser, and two spacers set the center at 0.96, 1.41, 1.535, or 1.64 inches. The 6061-T6 aluminum housing is hardcoat anodized, nitrogen purged, fog resistant, and IP67 rated, and the ACSS model's CR2032 is rated for 12,000 hours rather than the 50,000 hours listed for the plain 2 MOA dot version.

Shots land where the solved trajectory puts them, with a group's worth of spread. Dial to walk the reticle onto the group; the next shot re-aims at the target.
Along the range and across it use the same scale. The short center mark shows the object’s width.
