Trijicon
American-made enclosed reflex with 6-year battery life, top-load CR2032, and RMR footprint
The Trijicon RCR (Ruggedized Closed Reflex) is Trijicon's long-awaited enclosed-emitter answer to the Aimpoint ACRO P-2 and Holosun 509T. It takes the RMR footprint that dominates the duty pistol market and seals it inside a one-piece 7075-T6 housing, eliminating the exposed LED that has been the RMR platform's single biggest weakness. Debris, rain, slide blowback, and pocket lint no longer have a path to the emitter.
The RCR runs 50,000+ hours on a single CR2032, rated at 6 years of continuous use at brightness setting 5. The battery loads from the top without removing the optic from the gun, so zero is preserved through every battery change. Ten brightness settings include three night-vision modes and one super-bright daylight level for sunny ranges or laser protection glasses. The 3.25 MOA dot is the same size as the standard RMR, crisp enough for fast close-range pickup and fine enough for precision work inside 100 yards.
Built in Wixom, Michigan from forged 7075-T6 and waterproof to 66 feet, the RCR is designed to outlast the firearm it sits on. At 1.95 oz with battery it's heavier than a standard RMR but lighter than the 509T and ACRO P-2 it competes with. The RMR footprint means existing RMR-cut slides, rifle mounts, and shotgun mounts all accept the RCR without adapter plates. For shooters who have been waiting for a closed-emitter optic with Trijicon's durability pedigree, the RCR delivers without compromise on footprint compatibility.
