Stealth Arms machines every Platypus in-house, and the platform's headline feature is the online builder: customers select frame, slide, and small-parts Cerakote colors with a real-time preview, then submit the order. Stealth Arms currently quotes 10 to 12 weeks for solid-color custom guns and 17 to 19 weeks for backfilled multi-color builds; in-stock presets usually ship in 1 to 2 business days when available.

The magazine ecosystem choice is the load-bearing technical decision. Picking Glock G17 puts the Platypus in the same magazine envelope as the Staccato HD P4 and HD P4.5: standard G17 mags at any gun store. Picking SIG P320 puts it in the same envelope as the SIG P211 series: M17/M18 and X-Carry magazines feed directly. The two configurations are not interchangeable on the same pistol because the magwell is cut for one pattern or the other.
