Vortex Razor AMG UH-1 Gen II Holographic Sight, EBR-CQB Reticle, Illuminated Red, Black, 3.9in, 11.6oz, AMG-HS02
The Vortex AMG UH-1 Gen II "Huey" is Vortex's holographic weapon sight and a direct competitor to EOTech's EXPS line. The Gen II refresh swapped the original UH-1's internal rechargeable battery for a tool-less CR123A compartment, addressing the most-cited complaint about the original (no field battery swap) and adding night vision compatibility.
The EBR-CQB reticle uses a 1 MOA center dot inside a 65 MOA segmented ring with hold-over reference marks, a more sophisticated holographic display than EOTech's basic ring-and-dot. Like all holographic sights, the reticle floats on the glass without parallax and remains visible even if the front window is partially damaged. Battery life runs approximately 1,000 hours on a single CR123A.
The UH-1 weighs 11 oz and uses a wider rail footprint than micro red dots. Reticle quality and brightness control are excellent. Most direct EOTech vs. Vortex Huey comparisons come down to brand and warranty: EOTech has the longer combat record, Vortex has the stronger civilian warranty (VIP lifetime). MSRP is $799.99 with street pricing typically in the $599-699 range. Made in Japan.
