Shield RMSc 4 MOA (Glass Edition)

The Holosun 507K, Olight Osight SE, Swampfox Sentinel II, Vortex Defender CCW, and SIG Romeo Zero all reference back to the bolt pattern Shield Sights cut on this optic and licensed to the slim-pistol category. Buying a Shield RMSc means buying the optic the slot was designed for. UK manufacture, all-aluminum body, glass lens (the polymer SMSc variant is the cheaper $239 alternative), and a clean 4 MOA red dot with a 3 MOA option for shooters who want a finer aiming point.

On the Ruger MAX-9, the RMSc is a true direct fit. No adapter plate, no proprietary hardware, no shimming. The MAX-9 slide is factory-milled to the Shield RMSc spec, and the optic carries the canonical bolt pattern. Bottom-loading CR2032 battery means swapping cells requires pulling the optic, which is a real downside on a CCW gun, the side-loading enclosed competitors (Holosun EPS Carry, Olight Osight SE) avoid this.

The trade-off against newer competition is honest. The RMSc has no Shake N' Wake style auto-on, no enclosed emitter, no solar failsafe, and no multi-reticle modes. It is just a clean glass red dot built to a standard that has aged well. Shooters who want the original platform and the strongest legacy track record buy this optic. Shooters who want side-loading batteries, enclosed emitters, or auto-on motion activation are better served by the Holosun EPS Carry or 507K X2.
