The Wojtek Weaponry Smith M&P 2.0 FRT is the lowest-priced in-stock forced reset trigger for the M&P M2.0 pistol, listing at $150 against the $200 to $202.50 the other makers charge. It is a hardened 4140 unit with a nitride coating that uses slide motion to mechanically drive the trigger forward to reset after each shot, while still requiring one trigger pull per round. The mechanism is non-select-fire, so there is no semi-auto fallback selector; the FRT behavior is the only behavior.
Fitment covers the M&P 2.0 full-size, compact, and subcompact, across 9mm, 10mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP. Wojtek is explicit that the part does not fit the original M&P 1.0 generation, which uses a different fire control geometry. Plan on a little light sanding to seat the part in some guns; otherwise it installs as a drop-in striker-area swap.
Forced reset parts are mechanically and legally more sensitive than ordinary trigger shoes. The 2025 DOJ settlement established that FRTs fire one round per function and are not machine guns, but it did not extend to handguns where the magazine loads into the grip, so an M&P pistol FRT is a legally grayer purchase than a rifle FRT. A number of state and District jurisdictions also ban them under multiburst-device statutes. Confirm current federal and local rules before ordering and test function with the exact ammunition and configuration you plan to run.
