Christensen Arms CA-10 G2 6.5 Creedmoor 20"

The Christensen Arms CA-10 G2 is the precision AR-10 for shooters who refuse to carry ten pounds. Its carbon-fiber-wrapped 416R stainless barrel, paired with a billet receiver set and a 15-inch carbon-fiber M-LOK handguard, brings a 20-inch 6.5 Creedmoor rifle in around 7.2 pounds. That is lighter than many 16-inch .308 carbines and far lighter than an LMT or KAC.

Christensen backs the rifle with a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee, and the carbon barrel does more than save weight: the carbon wrap sheds heat faster than a steel bull barrel, helping group consistency across strings. It feeds standard SR-25/DPMS pattern magazines and threads 5/8x24 for brakes and suppressors. The .308 variant uses an 18-inch 1:10 barrel; the 6.5 CM version steps up to a 20-inch 1:8.

The tradeoffs are reliability validation and price. Christensen's gas-gun QC is good but does not carry the duty pedigree of KAC or LMT, and carbon-barrel AR-10s can be ammo-sensitive on the gas system. Buy it when weight and precision both matter, such as a long-range hunting or field-precision rifle, and you do not need a duty-grade reliability record.
