Slimline Glock with longer slide for improved sight radius
0-10 Scale Across 8 Axes
The Glock 48 pairs the slim 43X grip with a longer G19-length slide, providing improved sight radius and barrel length while maintaining the slim profile. The 4.17-inch barrel offers slightly better velocity than the 43X's 3.41-inch barrel, and the longer sight radius aids accurate shooting, especially for iron sight users.
The 48 uses the same magazines as the 43X, including compatibility with Shield Arms S15 15-round mags. The longer slide does increase overall length but doesn't significantly impact concealment since the grip is what typically prints during carry. Many shooters prefer the 48's balance and sight picture over the shorter 43X.
For shooters who prioritize accuracy and longer sight radius but still want the slim 43X-series profile, the G48 offers the best of both worlds. The additional slide mass also contributes slightly to reduced felt recoil.
