Springfield Model 2020 Waypoint SG-100 .308 Win

The Model 2020 Waypoint SG-100 is the only solid-color configuration in a Waypoint lineup that is otherwise entirely hand-painted camo. Springfield announced it on September 1, 2026, and the change is entirely in the finish: the bead-blasted AG Composites carbon fiber stock carries Cerakote SG-100, branded Super-Grip, which is a nonslip ceramic coating with a tactile, rubberized texture, and the metal moves from the Mil-Spec Green H-264 of the Evergreen rifles to black H-164.

Everything under the finish is standard Waypoint. The action is stainless steel machined from pre-hardened material with EDM-cut raceways and an integral recoil lug, the bolt is fluted 4140 tool steel in nitride with tool-free disassembly and dual cocking cams, and the barrel is fluted 416 stainless with an SA Radial Brake on a threaded muzzle. Springfield backs the rifle with a .75 MOA three-shot accuracy guarantee using match-grade ammunition, and ships it with a Picatinny mount on a receiver drilled to the Remington 700 short-action pattern.

The configuration is narrower than the camo line. All three SG-100 SKUs are steel-barreled and fixed-comb, because the carbon fiber barrel and the three-axis adjustable cheek comb are cataloged only against the hand-painted Evergreen and Ridgeline stocks. The chambering list is narrower too: this .308 Win short action plus 7mm PRC and .300 Win Mag long actions, with 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, .300 PRC, and 7mm Rem Mag all camo-only.
