Overview
The Maztech X4-LRF 15K is the longer-range sibling of the X4-LRF 2K Gen II. It keeps the same STANAG/Picatinny weapon mount, co-aligned visible red and IR aiming lasers, Applied Ballistics solver, and onboard environmental and motion sensors, but it ranges with a 1534 nm laser instead of the 2K's 905 nm commercial laser. Maztech states the 1534 nm laser is not detectable by night-vision devices, and that the 15K ranges smaller targets faster and more reliably in fog and smoke than the 2K.
It ranges 25 to 16,400 yd (25 to 15,000 m). Maztech lists a man-sized target at 3,800 yd and a vehicle-sized target at 7,100 yd. The FDE 7075-T6 housing weighs 12.9 oz with the supplied rechargeable CR123, and a 12-inch low-profile remote ships in the box. This listing is the commercial red/IR aiming-laser configuration. Maztech keeps higher-power aiming-laser variants on a separate military and law-enforcement path.
