KAK Industry Shockwave 2M Blade

The Shockwave Blade is the fin brace that defined the budget end of the category, and the 2M is the version that matters for most AR pistols: it fits a standard mil-spec buffer tube. The original Blade fits KAK's own Shockwave tube and nothing else, so pairing it with an off-the-shelf carbine extension does not work. The 2M removes that constraint for a few dollars more.

It slips over the tube and locks with a finger lever, so it repositions along the extension the way a cuff brace does rather than clamping to one spot. Shockwave Technologies, which designed the blade, lists it at 4.1 ounces in high-strength glass-reinforced polymer and states it fits any mil-spec tube, so fitment keys on the extension rather than the host it is bolted to. KAK publishes a 13.25 inch length of pull.

At 4.1 ounces this is roughly half the weight of an SBM4 cuff and under a third of a PDW system, and the fin shape puts almost nothing behind the receiver visually. The tradeoff is support surface: a thin blade gives less cheek and forearm contact than an SBA3 or a Tailhook, and the buffer tube is still a separate purchase. For the lightest legal brace on a tube you already own, this is the pick.
