Overview
The Magpul PRS Gen 3 Precision-Adjustable Stock represents the pinnacle of precision rifle stock features with tool-less length of pull and cheek piece height adjustments. At 27.8 ounces, it's a heavyweight champion designed for bench shooting and precision applications where adjustability trumps mobility concerns. The machined aluminum LOP and cheek piece adjustment knobs provide positive locking click detents for repeatable positioning.
The PRS Gen 3 features 0.8 inches of cheek height adjustment and 1.4 inches of length of pull adjustment with precise click stops. The enhanced strength buttplate can withstand severe impact and recoil up to .50 BMG, while the cant/height-adjustable rubber buttpad ensures perfect shoulder fitment. M-LOK slots on the bottom accommodate rear monopod mounting, and rotation-limiting QD sling swivel cups provide secure sling attachment.
While the PRS Gen 3 excels at precision applications, the 27.8-ounce weight is a significant penalty for general-purpose or tactical use. Most shooters find the PRS Lite's 18.2-ounce weight provides sufficient adjustability at a nine-ounce savings. The PRS Gen 3 is best reserved for dedicated precision rifles, large-caliber builds, or bench shooting where weight is irrelevant and maximum adjustability is essential.
