Overview

The Daniel Defense M4A1 RIII updates DD's M4A1 pattern with the RIS III M-LOK handguard, a fully ambidextrous lower receiver, and a 14.5-inch cold hammer-forged M4-profile barrel with a pinned-and-welded extended flash suppressor. The mid-length gas system softens the older M4A1 carbine-gas feel, while the 12.5-inch RIS III rail keeps the 6-bolt bolt-up architecture in a slimmer M-LOK package. This is a heavier wallet hit than the DDM4 V7 and trades the V7's free-thread muzzle for a permanently attached flash suppressor, but it gives you the M4A1 footprint with current DD ambidextrous controls and RIS III furniture.
