Overview

The MUTE 30Ti is Daniel Defense's precision-rifle can. Daniel Defense states plainly what it is optimized for: bolt guns and deliberate shooting, with a low-flow architecture that prioritizes total sound and flash reduction over the backpressure management a semi-auto host wants. That is the opposite trade from the flow-through designs aimed at gas guns, and it is the right one on a bolt action where backpressure has nowhere to go anyway.

Construction is weldless, fully 3D-printed titanium, which is how an 8.4 ounce can ends up rated to .300 Winchester Magnum. Printing the core as one piece removes the weld seams that are the usual failure point on a stacked-baffle can, and Daniel Defense publishes a compatibility list of .308, 6.5 Creedmoor, .300 Win Mag, and .300 PRC. At 6.86 inches long and 1.55 inches in diameter, the narrow tube is a deliberate choice: a fatter can intrudes into the bottom of the scope picture on a precision rifle, and this one stays out of it.

The rear is HUB, the 1.375x24 industry-standard thread that virtually every suppressor mount ecosystem now builds to. That means the MUTE takes a direct-thread adapter, a taper mount, or a QD mount from whichever system the shooter already runs, and Daniel Defense's product page does not list a mount in the box. Budget for one. Buying it is still an NFA transfer: the making and transfer tax on suppressors dropped to $0 on January 1, 2026, but registration and the transfer process still apply outside the party-specific Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF injunction.
