SIG's flagship 5.56 NATO flow-through suppressor, the factory-aligned can for the MCX Spear LT and 5.56 platforms

The SIG SLX556-QD is SIG's 5.56 NATO flow-through suppressor for compatible Clutch-Lok muzzle-device hosts, including many SIG rifle setups. The SLX line was designed around two specific problems traditional baffle 5.56 cans create on short-barrel rifles: blowback through the ejection port and increased gas-driven action speed.
The internal multi-flow-path baffle design vents gas forward through the muzzle rather than back through the action. Construction is Inconel, which is chosen for heat and erosion resistance on hard-use rifle hosts. The trade-off is weight: around 19.2 oz, the SLX556-QD is heavier than many compact 5.56 cans.
Mounting is the part to confirm before you buy. SIG has moved the SLX line to its Past Models catalog, and the model table there lists the two 5.56 variants, SLX556 and SLX556C, as direct thread; Clutch-Lok QD appears only on the 7.62 SLX suppressors. Retailers still list a 5.56 QD variant, so verify the mount and the muzzle-device ecosystem on the exact unit in front of you rather than assuming Clutch-Lok.
The SLX556C is a shorter sibling for shooters who prioritize length over absolute sound reduction.
