YHM VICTRA-12

The YHM VICTRA-12 is a fully modular 12-gauge shotgun suppressor that the owner configures from 12 inches down to 6 inches by swapping rod kits, trading sound reduction against length and weight on one stamp. At its full 12 inch length it meters 135 dB and weighs 25 ounces; stripped to its shortest 6 inch configuration it rises to 141 dB and drops to 13.5 ounces. The can breaks down into 12 internal pieces, ten baffles plus a blast chamber and end cap, so it cleans and reconfigures without a press.

Construction pairs a 7075 aluminum body with 17-4 PH stainless baffles, finished in hard-anodize and Melonite for corrosion and wear resistance. Rather than a proprietary thread, the VICTRA-12 mounts on a shotgun's existing choke threads through YHM's VICTRA mount assemblies, sold separately, which cover Remington, Browning Invector and Invector Plus, Mossberg 500, Winchester, Benelli Crio Plus, Beretta/Benelli Mobil, Beretta Optima HP, KSG, and Saiga choke patterns, so most common pump and semi-auto hosts run it without a barrel swap. Budget for the matching mount on top of the suppressor.

Unlike shot-only shotgun cans, the VICTRA-12 is rated for both wadded shot and slugs in 12 gauge, provided cup-style wads are used; high-density shot and slugs are prohibited with a full or turkey choke installed. Shell length is gated by barrel length: 2.75 inch shells on barrels 7.5 inches and longer, 3 inch shells on barrels 10 inches and longer, and 3.5 inch shells on barrels 16 inches and longer. As an NFA item it requires a Form 4 transfer, fingerprints, a background check, and registration; the federal making and transfer tax on suppressors is now zero under current law, and eForm approvals are running on the order of days to a couple of weeks. Suppressor ownership is legal in 42 states, so confirm your state allows it before buying.
