Mantis
Phone-camera laser target system that scores dry-fire hits in real time; the Standard kit adds a tripod, target stands, and a full app license.
Mantis Laser Academy turns a smartphone into a scored dry-fire range. A laser training cartridge sits in the chamber, and the app uses the phone's camera to detect where the laser flashes on a paper target, scoring each press in real time. Unlike a bare laser cartridge that only shows you a dot, Laser Academy records the hit, times it, and walks you through structured drills.
The Standard kit is the version most shooters should buy. On top of the Portable kit's cartridge and targets, it adds a full-height tripod and phone holder so the camera sees the whole target array, twelve 8.5 x 11 targets, five target stands, spare laser batteries, the phone shades that keep ambient light from washing out detection, and a full-access Laser Academy app code that Mantis values at $99 on its own. The included Pink Rhino laser cartridge ships in your selected caliber.
The app's drill library covers dot drills, draw-to-first-shot, target transitions, and timed par scoring, which is the structure that makes dry fire stick. Because scoring is automatic, you get objective feedback on hit location and timing instead of guessing whether the dot was centered.
Add the Mantis Laser Academy Standard Training Kit to your build and see how it enhances your platform.
