The JARD Trigger Upgrade Kit is a single-stage replacement for Mini-14 and Mini Thirty rifles. It is offered with a 1 lb or 3 lb pull weight, minimal pre-travel, and a crisp, clean break. The kit also lets the installer adjust sear engagement and disconnect engagement.
The M*CARBO Ruger Mini-14/30 Trigger Spring Kit changes only the sear spring and cuts factory pull weight by roughly 30 percent. It cannot change trigger geometry, creep, or reset. The JARD kit costs many times more, but its replacement design and engagement adjustments give the owner more control over the trigger than a spring-only change.
JARD lists the kit for every rifle on the Mini-14 platform, including the Mini Thirty and both the Ranch and Tactical series. Extra 1 lb and 3 lb springs are sold separately, so changing the selected pull weight later requires another spring. JARD also publishes an Operator's Instruction Manual and an Installation Guide for the kit.
